Teleste has acquired the total share capital of Satlan, a system integrator for Polish operators and service providers. The customers will benefit from Satlan's strong engineering capabilities, intimate expertise of Polish operators’ needs and product offering of its existing partners combined with Teleste's global experience and support.
On demand is growing rapidly in popularity in Poland, with the public broadcaster TVP being the latest company to launch a service. According to Rzeczpospolita, vod.tvp.pl made its debut this week and already offers 1,600 clips. It is a paid-for service, with each clip costing PLN5 (€1.23) or PLN6.10 if the payment is made by SMS.
